There are six phases that we focus on at our internet addiction treatment New Hampshire kids rely on. Technology detox, education, skill building, insight and coping skills, technology re-introduction, and home transition are what makes Summerland Camps successful.
Technology detox focuses on fun. This is the first phase and helps the campers get to know the others and build relationships.
The education phase teaches the campers about the negative effects of too much “screen time.” Research and statistics are presented to the campers.
Skill building is aimed at increasing social and recreational skills. Insight and coping skills allows camper to think about their behaviors and act at the appropriate time.
Abstinence from technology is not practical, so reuniting the campers with technology allows the camp counselors to monitor their usage and make sure they are being used in a healthy manner. Transition home is the last phase and focuses on our family workshops and aftercare services to ensure success continues after completion of Summerland Camps.
